NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Negotiating Committee conducted a regular meeting on Monday, April 12, <br />1993 at ihe Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br /> <br />Members Absent: Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Personnel Coordinator Kay McAloney <br />LEDS Representative Robert Kuhn <br />LEDS Representative James Way <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Councilmember Peterson called the regular meeting of the Negotiating Committee to order <br />at 5:45 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Consensus was to approve the agenda as presented. <br /> <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: 1993 Wages and Benefits for LELS <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that Staff is recommending the following: 1) leaving <br />the standl~y pay as is; 2) Adding two additional holidays (Martin Luther King Day and <br />Veteran's Day); 3) Insurance - increase by $15.00, the same as other personnel; 4) <br />include boots with the uniform; 5) Pro-pay - don't want to eliminate from the contract - <br />give another year to review it; 6) term of contract - one year; and 7) salary - just under <br />2.7% inorease and extend seventh step to fifth year. The total cost makes this a richer <br />contract than AFSCME and Exempt Personnel received. He stated the Committee feels it is <br />not appropriate to suggest major changes in the contract and that this is a reasonable offer. <br /> <br />Officer Way inquired if only boots would be allowed to be purchased with the uniform <br />allowance money because some officers wear something other than boots. <br /> <br />Caucus 6:04 p.m. <br /> <br />Negotiating Committee/April 12, 1993 <br /> Page I of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
