I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Case #2: Determine Park Dedication for Bona Addition <br /> <br />With regard to Bona Addition, Parks/Utilities Coordinator Boos felt there is no path or <br />anything that would be prudent to the City so he suggested a cash contribution for park <br />dedication. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to recommend to City Council that park dedication for <br />the three new lots be satisfied in cash, based upon the minimum cash contribution, per lot, <br />determined at the time of final plat approval. <br /> <br />Commissioner Florentius arrived. <br /> <br />Case #3: Approve Community Service Awards <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Boos passed around the Community Service Award <br />Certificates. He stated that City Council has requested to give out the awards and that he <br />will contact the recipients of the awards. He added that Saxon Printing donated the <br />certificates. <br /> <br />Commissioner Florentius suggested that, if the Park and Recreation Commission didn't <br />find it offensive to recognize the founder/initiator of the Green Tree Committee, she would <br />like to submit her name along with others who were of assistance to her. <br /> <br />Mr. Boos accepted her list of names. <br /> <br />Consensus of the Commission was to approve the Community Service Award Certificates <br />and direct City Staff to contact the recipients of the award and place this case on the January <br />26, 1993 City Council agenda. <br /> <br />Case #4: Determine Park Dedication Rates <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator Boos disseminated a synopsis of surrounding cities' park <br />dedication rates. He stated the rates should be determined annually by resolution. The <br />suggested: rate formula is adding approximately 5% per year since 1989 which is the last <br />time the park dedication rate was reviewed. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Cook to recommend to the <br />City Council that the cash contribution for park dedication for single family rural housing <br />with densities less than or equal to one unit per 3.3 acres, be increased from $350 per <br />dwelling unit to $435 and that all other dwelling units increase to $620 as opposed to $500 <br />per dwelling unit. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Cook, Florentius and <br />Gookin. Voting No: None. Absent: Commissioners Johnson, Prall and Swokowski. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />1 ) W-2 Forms <br /> <br />Parks/Utilities Coordinator read a memorandum from Finance Officer Helling regarding <br />expense payments for the Commission.
