indicated that Emerald Pond Park can provide for the entire area for the year 2000 projection if <br />adequate access is provided for now. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued relative to the tot lot being the start of the trail, green corridor versus sidewalks, <br />and whether to construct the path at the same time as the subdivision development. The general <br />consensus was to request that the Planning and Zoning Commission review the plan and <br />summarize file issues for the Park and Recreation Commission prior to plotting the pathway. It <br />was also deetded that the sidewalk and any paths should be constructed concurrently with the <br />subdivision. <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Gookin and seconded by Commissioner Cook to recommend a formal <br />memoranduai be forwarded to the developer and project file of the Park and Recreation's intentions <br />for the trail and that the Commission will review Sunfish Square at the preliminary plat stage. <br /> <br />Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Cook, Gookin, Henn and SwokowskL Voting <br />No: None. Absent: Commissioners Florenfius and Johnson. <br /> <br />Case 0'2: Update of the County Road #116 Alternative Transportation Corridor <br /> <br />Mr. Boos provided the Commission with the status of the $113,000 trail grant involving 2.6 miles <br />of trail construction and connection to River's Bend Park. The Commission explored the various <br />faucets of the project and request periodic updates. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />Discussion regarding a "donation list" for individuals or groups wishing to donate monies for <br />specific purpOses. Discussion tabled. <br /> <br />The CommisSion,requested staff promulgate a memo summarizing a tree planting standard for new <br />subdivisions and flaat this "policy" would constitute the minimum requirements for inclusion on the <br />landscape plan pea' City ordinance. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Cook and seconded by Commissioner Gookin to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Cook, Gookin, Henn and <br />Swokowski. Voting No: None.
