Mr. Sehroed~ assured the homeowners that they will all be kept informed of events as they <br />proceed and that they will have a chance to express their feelings prior to the initiation of any work. <br />He also sugg~ted that Mr. and Mrs. Blume meet as soon as possible with the developer of Good <br />Value Hom~ !o discuss particulars of his property. <br /> <br />Case 02: Accept Resignation of Janice Johnson <br /> <br />The Park and Recreation Commission regretfully accepted the resignation of Janice Johnson who <br />has served on :the Cornn~sslon for 15 years. <br /> <br />Motion by Chairperson Hetland and seconded by Commissioner Cook to recommend that City <br />Council accept the resignation of Janice Johnson, effective July 1, 1993, and authorize Staff to <br />advertise to ~l the vacancy. <br /> <br />Motion Carri~l. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Cook and Henn. Voting No: <br />None. Absent: Commissioners Floerentius, Gookin, Johnson and Swokowski. <br /> <br />Case #3: 1994-1999 Capital Improvements Program <br /> <br />Mr. Schroedcr, advised the Commission that the 1993 Capital Improvements Program as presented <br />by the Commission was adopted. <br /> <br />The CommisSioners verified that the 1994-1998 plan as previously presented stood without <br />change. The direction of the plan is concurrent with past direction. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued regarding various issues including plans for the landfill clean-up, a possible <br />location for amiddle school within Ramsey, funding sources, and status of current Commission <br />projects. <br /> <br />Mr. Schroed,r indicated that the Commission has park dedication monies and that the City Council <br />has voted that-interest from the Landfill Trust Fund in the amount of $120,000 can be used in the <br />Park and Re~reafion's Capital Improvement Plan for the years 1993, 1994 and 1995. The <br />Commission Was asked to compile a list of possible improvements for the year 1999. Suggestions <br />follow: <br /> <br />2 <br />3. <br />4. <br /> <br />Tennis courts in various parks. <br />Nature center. <br />Picnic ,shelters in outlying or larger neighborhood parks. <br />Improvements to Sunfish Lake - (trail completely around lake, pavilions, parking areas, <br />paddle, boats and canoes). <br />Development of a Community Center. <br /> <br />COMMISSION INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Cook and seconded by Commissioner Henn to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairperson Hetland, Commissioners Cook, Florentius, and Henn <br />Voting No: None.
