Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. is a new east/wost collector street which will eventually
run from T.N. 1147, south of 149th Avenue N.W. to County Road 11116 near the Altron
Company. Portions of this now street have boon constructed in the now Wood Pond Hills
and Sunny Ponds subdivisions located south of City Hall along County Road 115. Obviously
the name Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. is very similar to Sunfish Lake Boulevard N.W. (C.R.
1157) which is also a major thoroughfare in the City. (See bold linos on the map below to
show tho stroots for renaming.)
A socond thoroughfare considered for renaming is 153rd/155th Avenues. Because of the
importanco of this roadway, it would be less confusing for it to have a single descriptive name.
Tho Road and Bridgo Committoe felt it would be worthwhile to obtain citizon input in
considoring appropriate namos for those two roadways. Possiblo namos could be rolatod to
Ramsoy's historic past, or to geographic or man-made features.
If you have a suggestion, please stop by, call us at 427-1410 or return the form below to
Ramsoy Municipal Building, 15153 Nowthon Blvd N.W. Ramsoy, MN 55303 by 5 p.m.
Friday, Juno 25, 1993. The Road and Bridgo Commitleo will be roviowing those
suggestions and making a rocommondation to tho City Council in July.
1f now road namos are soloctod, tho City will need to hold a public hearing and pass an
ordinanco dosignating tho change. Properties affoctod by an addross change will be
notitiod by loltor.
RESIDENT'S SUGGESTIONS ON ROAD NAMES REQUESTED
The City of Ramsey Road and Bridge Committee is requesting citizen input in
considering appropriate names for the two collector streets of Sunfish Lake Drive N.W. and
153rd/1551h Avenues.
Suggested Name: A OKTNFo'K D/f,
Your Name: "' e,„e / J
Address: 7-33-x) ) /Avers p Nr (.. . t).rrlZt✓ A4M1 S4ifZ.
Suggestions are due to Ramsey City Hall no later than 5:00 p.m. Friday, June 25, 1993.
Tho Road and Bridge Cornmilloo will be roviowing these suggestions and making a
rocomrnendation to the City Council in July.
YAP Of \,1:
CITY OF RAMSEY1.'111 IL
I , (^p
7 ;I
OF
Oh
