Planting Types. <br /> <br />i. Acceptable plantings shall be determined by the City-of <br /> Ramsey planting schedule. <br /> <br />ii. <br /> <br />The compliment of trees fultllling the landscaping <br />requirements shall not be less than 25 percent deciduous and <br />lot less than 25 percent coniferous. No more than 25% of the <br />required plantings shall consist of ornamental trees. <br /> <br />111. <br /> <br />One Overstory tree shall be planted every 35 feet in the <br />boulevard along every street frontage. The number of overstory <br />trees needed for boulevard plantings may be deducted from the <br />overstory tree requirement in (ii) above. <br /> <br />Grading. <br /> <br />Final slope grades shall not exceed 3.5:1 unless terracing of retaining <br />wails are approved. <br /> <br />2. Berming roi' parldng lots and.open space areas shall not exceed 3:1. <br /> <br />h. Sodding and Ground Cover. All areas not other wise improved in <br /> accordance with approved site plans shall be sodded. <br /> <br />i. Irrigation. <br /> <br />1. All landscaping areas required under this section shall include <br /> underground irrigation systems. <br /> <br />2. Exceptions include landscape areas that are left in a natural state. <br /> <br />Parking Lot Landscaping. All parking lots are required to prov'ide internal <br />overstory tree plantings in an effort to shade parking surfaces and provide <br />visual relief.
