8.60.06 <br /> <br />Water supply that ,i,s inoperable or unsanitary due to: leaking supply pipes, <br />fixiures, and traps, Cross connection with sewage lines, or system failure. <br /> <br />provisions and Maintenance of Basic Services and Utilitiesin Manufactured <br />Home Parks <br /> <br /> Subd. 1. Plumbing, Heating, and Electrical Services. Every owner of a <br />mobile home park shall be responsible for the provision and maintenance of. plumbing, heating <br />and electrical service to each mobile home. Ail utilities shall be constructed, installed and <br />maintained in accordance with the laws of the state, the recommendations of the state health <br />department, and the ordinances and requirements of the City. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Illumination. Every public hall and stairway in every mobile park <br />community building shall be adequately lighted by natural or electric light at all times so as to <br />provide effective illumination in all parts thereof. <br /> <br />8.60.07 <br /> <br />Unfit for Human Habitation <br /> <br /> Subd. 1. Declaration. Any dwelling unit which is damaged, decayed, <br />dilapidated, unsanitary, unsafe, pest infested, or which lacks provision for illumination: <br />ventilation, or sanitary facilities to the extent that the defects create a hazard to the health, safety, <br />or welfare of the occupants or of the public may be declared unfit for human habitation. <br />Whenever any premises, building or dwelling unit has been declared unfit for human.habitation <br />the City Building Official shall order'the building or affected dwelling unit(s) vacated within a <br />reasonable time and shall post a placard on same indicating that it is unfit for human habitation <br />and any license previously issued for such building, dwelling, or occupancy shall be revoked. <br /> <br /> Subd. 2. Vacating Building. It shall be unlawful for a vacant dwelling unit <br />that has been declared unfit for human habitation as provided in §8.60.07 Subd. 1 to be used for <br />human habitation until the defective conditions have been corrected and certificate of occupancy <br />has been issued, along with any applicable license for the building or unit(s), by the City <br />Building Official. It shall be unlawaSxl for any person to deface or remove the placard from any <br />such dwelling unit. <br /> <br /> Subd. 3. Hazardous Building Declaration. In the event that a dwelling <br />unit has been declared unfit for human habitation and the owner has not remedied the defects <br />within a reasonable time, the dwelling unit may be declared a hazardous building and treated <br />consistent with the provisions of §463.16 of Minnesota Statutes. <br /> <br />8.60.08 <br /> <br />Vacant Buildings <br /> <br /> Subd. 1. Secure Vacated Dwelling. The owner of any dwelling 'unit which <br />has been declared unfit for human habitation or which is otherwise vacant for a period of 60 days <br />or more shall make same safe and secure so that it is not hazardous to the health, safety, and <br />welfare of the public and does not constitute a public nuisance. Any vacant dwelling .open at <br />doors or windows, if unguarded, shall be deemed to be a hazard to the health, safety, and welfare <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />-209- <br /> <br /> <br />
