I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, February 9, 1993 at <br />the RamScy Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Adminislyator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Sandra Ashley Helling <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Frolik <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. and led in <br />the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Steve andCindy McKay, 7855 - 157th Avenue N.W., Ramsey, stated they bought a house <br />in Ramscy four years ago in a 2.5 acre subdivision. Now they wish to build a pole shed <br />and they., have been told their request may be turned down because they actually have 2.3 <br />acres. They felt this was unfair. <br /> <br />Mayor Oilbertson stated that the City is dealing with the issue of how lot size is determined <br />at the time of platting versus code enforcement. He added that he doesn't have a problem <br />with the buildings. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />Cindy MeKay stated that a resident living a block from her built a 26' x 30' pole structure. <br /> <br />Councilraember Hardin suggested the McKay's attend the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission meeting and offer their input during the discussion of this issue. <br /> <br />Refer to page 4 for additional comments. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder requested to add a case; "Report from Personnel Committee", <br />which would be discussed between Case #4 and #5. He also requested to switch the order <br />of Case #5 and #6 so that all three closed cases could be dealt with at the end of the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Peterson and seconded by Councilmember Beyer to approve the <br />agenda as amended. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />City Council/February 9, 1993 <br /> Page 2 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />
