Motion by~ Councilmemher Zimmerman and seconded by Councilmember Hardin to grant an extension to the present recycling contract with Ace Solid Waste Management on a month to month basis and that Staff should set up a meeting within the next 30 days with all the lioonsed haulers in the City to review different recycling and waste pick-up options. Motion caxried. Voting Yes: Councilmcmbers Zimmerman, Hardin, Beyer and Peterson. Voting No: None. Absent: Mayor Gilhertson. Funding Was requested from the 1994 budget for topography mapping. Motion ~ Counci!member Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to allocate $30,0001for 1994 funding for topo mapping with the money to be taken from the engineerhtg and planning budget. ! The completer network system was discussed and tabled until the next Finance Committee meeting or when more information becomes available. Charitab~ gambling was discussed but no action was requested. Case #15: Authorize Resolution Authorizing Signatures for Financial Transactions Councilm~.r~ mber Peterson stated that it was discussed earlier in the evening about what date the new Finance Officer would be starting. City Administrator Schroeder stated he did not recall the exact date Council took action; however, KIl of Council was present and authorized an employment offer to Jessie Hart. The position of Finance Officer was offered to her and accepted by her that same night. There wzr~ no changes in the offer from what Council had authorized. Counci!me'mber Beyer stated that it was, but that City Council should officially give a starting date. Motion by Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Councilmember Zimmerman to officially place Jcs sie Hart on the payroll as of June 14, 1993. Motion ~ Councilmember Beyer and seconded by Counci!memher Zimmerman to adopt ResolutiOn ~993-06-125 authorizing signatures for Financial Transactions for the City of Ramsey. Motion carried.
