CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ram~y City Council conducted a regular City Council meeting on Tuesday, August <br />10, 1993, fat the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members lh'e~nt: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmembcr Shefla Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Petcrson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Pre~nt: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Zoning Administrator Sylvia Fmlik <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Oilbertson called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. and led in <br />the Pledgc of Allegiance to thc Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Jerry Ham Jet,. representing the Ramsey Lions Club asked for a decision on Game Fair <br />parking.: Sic stated thc Lions would be using thc paved parking lot and the field at Central <br />Park. ~ stat~ they may need more parking spaces and asked if Council intends to allow <br />them to use the ball field. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated there are sprinklers throughout the playing field and <br />that Mr. Hamlet would have to obtain permission from the Parks/Utilities Coordinator and <br />the Public;Works Supervisor. He added there is a park area about one-half block southeast <br />of ArmstrOng Kennels. The park is mowed but there is nothing else there. It is a secluded <br />neighborhood with no through traffic. <br /> <br />Mr. Hamlet stated he had spoken with Mr. Mevissen and he preferred that park not be <br />used. Hc stated he would confer with Mr. Mevissen and Mr. Boos about additional <br />parking sp~c. <br /> <br />Tim Dusl~bek, 7821 - 171st Avenue N.W., stated he heard there will be another public <br />hearing regarding the paving of Bison Street N.W. He felt that these public hearings have <br />not worke$1 in the past and suggested an informational type meeting instead. He stated he <br />is against paving just a portion of Bison Street N.W. and he felt that the City Council is <br />aiding in dividing neighborhoods. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that Councilmember Zimmerman had also suggested <br />having an !nformation type meeting and that Staff is interested in setting aside an evening to <br />meet with be concerned residents. <br /> <br />City Council/August 10, 1993 <br /> Page 2 of 10 <br /> <br /> <br />
