I <br />I <br />I <br />i <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br /> CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramscy City Council conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, October 12, 1993, at <br />the RamSey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />MemberS Present: <br /> <br />Mayor James Gilbertson <br />Councilmember Sheila Beyer <br />Councilmember Glen Hardin <br />Councilmember Kenneth Peterson <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Ryan Schroeder <br />Finance Officer Jessie Hart <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Giibertson called the regular City Council meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />John Gobematz, 17515 St. Francis Boulevard N.W., Ramsey (formally of 154th and <br />Hematite) stated he was unable to be present when Council discussed the improvement <br />project On 177th. He stated he is being assessed for two lots and he has one. He added <br />that he Was not notified of the public hearing and inquired how the City can justify having <br />him pay: for two lots. He stated if he makes another lot on the property, he will then pay <br />for another lot. <br /> <br />City Engineer Jankowski stated that Mr. Gobernatz's letter was discussed at the public <br />hearing ~ some length, however, Council did accept the feasibility study as proposed, <br />including'the assessment of Mr. Gobernatz's lots. <br /> <br />Mr. Gobernatz argued that the lot is an outlot. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman informed Mr. Gobernatz that Gobernatz's neighbors feel he <br />should be paying his share. <br /> <br />Mr. Gobernatz stated that if City sewer and water comes in, his neighbors would have a <br />number of lots. He added he does not have frontage on the road. <br /> <br />City Administrator Schroeder stated that this was discussed at the meeting and City Council <br />accepted the feasibility study as written. Council will receive a resolution for approval <br />authorizing staff to proceed. There will be an assessment hearing and Mr. Schroeder <br />suggested Mr. Gobernatz attend to discuss his issue at that time. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION TO FIRE FIGHTER JONATHAN McLAUGHLIN <br /> <br />Mayor Gilbertson presented Volunteer Fire Fighter Jonathan McLaughlin with his Fire <br />Department Badge, symbolizing the end of his one-year limited Fire Fighter status.
