<br />including AEC Energy Park, Sunfish Lake Business Park, Gateway North Industrial Park, and <br />Business Park 95. <br /> <br />Chairperson Riley asked if consideration has been given to changing the names of AEC Energy <br />Park and/or Business Park 95. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan replied that staff has spoken to Connexus about <br />changing the name of AEC Energy Park and they have indicated they are not interested in <br />changing the name. <br /> <br />Chairperson Riley stated in earlier discussions, there appeared to be more interest in creating <br />"City of Ramsey" signs at the City's entry points as a means to brand the City. He stated he <br />feels this is more important than creating monument signs at the industrial parks. <br /> <br />Member Schindel stated that the City is almost done with development and it IS worth <br />considering putting signage out there. <br /> <br />Chairperson Riley asked about the cost of creating the signage. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan stated he would approach CMDC and Connexus <br />Energy about their participation in funding the signs. <br /> <br />Member Kiefer stated he would like to see some pictures of what is being proposed. <br /> <br />Motion by Member LeTourneau, seconded by Member Kiefer, to direct staff to put together a <br />cost analysis, identify partners, and locate key locations for monument signage for the industrial <br />parks, for further consideration by the EDA. <br /> <br />Motion carried. V oting Yes: Members LeTourneau, Kiefer, and Schindel. Voting No: <br />Chairperson Riley. Absent: Members Elvig, Steffen, and Strommen. <br /> <br />Case #5: <br /> <br />Staff Update <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan presented an update on new business prospects for <br />the City. He stated that Eniva Corporation has decided to locate in the City of Anoka on the <br />former Cornelius site. He reported a precision tooling company previously expressed interest in <br />a site that could accommodate 150,000 square feet; no further information is available at this <br />time. He stated a Wisconsin manufacturer expressed interest in a 17-30,000 square foot site. He <br />stated a prospective manufacturer in the rotary market has decided to locate in the City of <br />Andover. He reported he has heard nothing further with respect to the manufacturer in tools and <br />plastics. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan noted the Community Revitalization Projects on <br />Basalt Street were acted on by the EDA earlier today. He stated that with respect to 6590 141 st <br />Avenue, demolition is complete and staff is negotiating with Production Design Products for <br /> <br />Economic Development Authority/October 18, 2007 <br />Page 8 of9 <br />
