CC: 5 <br />CONSIDER ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE CHAPTER 3, <br />SECTIONS 3.40.02, NUMBER 7 LAWFUL GAMBLING FUND <br />By: Heidi A. Nelson; Assistant City Administrator <br />Background: <br />City Council will recall as part of the 2007 budget amendments, Lawful Gambling Funds were <br />utilized to cover some community programs and services that the City contributed to on an <br />annual basis. In addition, $17,000 of the 2008 budget was proposed to come from the Lawful <br />Gambling Fund for community programs and services. <br />To that end, an amendment to the City Code regarding the Lawful Gambling Fund is required to <br />allow for the use of the funds for programs and services. Historically, the fund has been used for <br />park capital improvements only and a contribution to the Anoka Aquatic Facility.
