CASE # <br />ADOPT ORDINANCE TO REZONE PROPERTY FROM <br />B -2 BUSINESS TO R -1 RESIDENTIAL; <br />CASE OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY <br />By: Amy Geisler, AICP, Associate Planner <br />Background: <br />On October 9, 2007 the City Council denied a Comprehensive Plan Amendment, Zoning <br />Amendment, Preliminary Plat, and Rezoning related to the plat of Ebony Woods. The Council <br />also directed Staff to initiate a Zoning Amendment to change the property's zoning designation <br />from B -2 Business to R -1 Residential. <br />The following items are enclosed for your information: <br />a) Site Location Map <br />b) Land use /zoning exhibit <br />c) Draft City Council meeting minutes dated November 13, 2007 <br />d) Proposed Ordinance <br />Notification: <br />Property owners within 700 feet were notified of the public hearing. <br />Funding Source: <br />The Zoning Amendment was initiated by the City; therefore tasks associated with case <br />preparation are being conducted as a part of regular staff duties. <br />Observations: <br />The City Council introduced the ordinance to rezone the Subject Property at the November 13, <br />2007 meeting; it is now eligible for adoption. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommend adoption of the zoning amendment. <br />—221— <br />
