<br />Councilmembet Jeffrey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #07-09-267 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RENEWAL OF THE ANOKA COUNTY-CITY <br />JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Anoka County - City Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) for Mutual Aid <br />was entered into in 1981; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the intent of the agreement is to make equipment, personnel and other <br />resources available to political subdivisions within Anoka County from other political <br />subdivisions within Anoka County; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the units of government in the JP A wish to modify the terms of the 1981 <br />agreement in order to conform to both existing law and to the current needs of the governmental <br />units. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorize the renewal of the Anoka County <br />- City Joint Powers Agreement for Mutual Aid. <br /> <br />2) That the Mayor and City Administrator are hereby authorized to execute the Joint Power <br />Agreement for Mutual Aid. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Olson and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Jeffrey <br />Councilmember Olson <br />Councilmember Dehen <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councilmember Look <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br />
