C-ao <br />• RATIFY CHANGE ORDERS FOR CONSTRUCTION <br />OF NEW RAMSEY MUNICIPAL CENTER <br />By: Tim Gladhill, Management Intern <br />Background: <br />At the regular meeting of May 24th, 2005, Council established levels. of authority for use during <br />the construction of the new Municipal Center. The following levels of authority were adopted: <br />City Council: Approval of project change orders greater than $25,000 <br />Approval of all project change orders less than $25,000 by <br />ratification at regular Council meetings <br />Facilities Corrunittee: Approval of project change orders in excess of $10,000 and less <br />than $25,000, ratified by City Council <br />Project Team: .Approval of project change orders of up to $10,000 by Heidi <br />Nelson, Assistant City Administrator, ratified by City Council <br />This case represents the ratification of change orders that have been approved by the Project <br />Team and Facilities Committee. <br />Staff Recommendation: <br />Ratifythe following change orders for the construction of the new Ramsey Municipal Center. <br />Change Order No. 1062-06 $4,695.00 <br />• Backcharge from Dascom for delay in install; delete select cabinetry; furnish & <br />install shims; overtime hours; remove and reinstall panels due to install; credit for <br />veneer; wood to brick pier at reception. <br />Change Order No. 1041-10 $(8,992.81) <br />Backcharge due to damage to roof; backcharge for work done by Paul's <br />Architectural Woodcraft. <br />TOTAL CHANGE ORDERS: $(4,297.81). <br />Funding Source: <br />Funding for the Change Order will come from the new Ramsey Municipal Center project budget. <br />Council Action: <br />Consider authorizing Resolution No. 07-12-xx, Ratifying Change Orders for Construction of <br />new Ramsey Municipal Center. <br />Reviewed by: <br />Assistant City Administrator <br />Finance Officer <br />City Administrator: <br />• CC:.12/11/2007 <br />-125- <br />
