• Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #07-12-XXX-A <br />RESOLUTION AMENDING MUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEI\~I <br />DESIGNATIONS AND COLLECTOR ROAD SYSTEM <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has adopted aComprehensive-Plan which provides for <br />a system of .arterial and collector thoroughfare; and <br />WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has established a Municipal State Aid System <br />(MSAS) under Chapter 162 of -the State Statutes which promotes the construction and <br />maintenance of such an arterial and collector system; .and - <br />WHEREAS, it is in the. best interest of the City of Ramsey to modify the desimlated <br />MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; and <br />WHEREAS, upon review of the arterial aiid collector system is has been determined that <br />it is the best interests of the city to modify the designated system. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: <br />1. That the following described MSAS segment be deleted from the system: <br />Begimzing at the intersection of 163`d Lane and Cr 83; then east <br />along 163 Lane to Alpaca Street; then north along Alpaca Street to <br />166' Ave; then east along 166' Avenue to Variolite Street; then <br />east through a nonexistent street segment to the intersection of <br />166' Avenue and Quartz Street; then east along 166"' Ave to the <br />intersection of 167"' Avenue and CSAH 5 and there terminating. <br />2. That the transportation element of the City comprehensive plan modified in <br />accordance with the modification contained in item 1 above <br />3. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified <br />copies of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration gild <br />approval. <br />The motion. for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />• aizd the following voted against the same: <br />RESOLUTION 07-12-XXX-A <br />- Page 1 of 2 <br />-377- <br />
