• Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #07-12-XXX-B RESOLUTION AMENDING 1VIUNICIPAL STATE AID SYSTEM DESIGNATIONS AND COLLECTOR RQAD SYSTEM WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey lias adopted a Comprehensive Plan which provides for a system of arterial and collector thoi:oughfare; and WHEREAS,. the State of Miimesota has established.. a Municipal -State Aid System (MSAS) under Chapter 162 of ,the State Statutes which promotes the construction and imaintenance of such an arterial and collector system; and WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Ramsey to modify the designated MSAS to conform to its changing transportation needs; acid WHEREAS, upon review of the arterial and collector system is has been determined that it is the best interests of the city to modify the designated system. NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the following described MSAS segment be deleted from the system: Beginning at the intersection of 163`d Lane and Cr 83; then east along 163 Lane to Alpaca Street; then north along Alpaca Street to 166"' Ave; then east along 166`h Avenue to Variolite Street aild there ternlinating 2. That the transportation element of the Citycomprehensivepfan modified in accordance with the modification contained in item 1 above 3. That the City Administrator is hereby authorized and directed to forward two certified copies 'of this resolution to the Commission of Transportation for consideration and .approval.
