Miscellaneous

Town Center: MinnWest Bank rescheduled the foreclosure auction to December 7,2007 but the
Sheriffs sale was again postponed. City Staff is working to coordinate a meeting with bank
representatives for the Week of December 10th. A new date for the foreclosure sale has not been
set.

Coborn's Cetner to Rebrand: The owner of the Coborn's shopping center recently forwarded the
following information to the City:
"We want to market and advertise our Coborn's Center as the North Star Marketplace.
We simply don't want to be a part of the failed RTC . . . I just thought that you would like
To know. Our center is having difficulties being referred to a part of the problem from
the investment, lending, and tenants groups that are involved in the project and looking to
be involved in the project." (pat Hart, Solomon Real Estate Group)

Since Solomon is apparently one of the contenders bidding for the Ramsey Town Center Project
for the bank, this may be part of a larger strategy regarding repositioning the property in the
market place

Additional Parcels Identified for Acquisition: A settlement for KIH has not been reached and it
is taking longer than originally thought. Staff will let the EDA know when the project is settled.

Hwy 47 /167th Commercial Node: Nothing new to report.

Anoka County United: The Council Authorized the Mayor to write a letter in support of Anoka
County United (see attached). Anoka County United is an organization that is forming to serve as
a regional economic development clearing house for Anoka County. This is not a County
organization and it is supported by both area chambers. There are no membership dues and it
appears as if the organization might fill the void Anoka Partners was trying to fill. More
information to come.

Future Meeting Topics:
1. Monument Signs (ongoing)
2. EDA 2008 Work Plan (January)
3. Sunfish Commons Median Discussion
4. Cost of Doing Business (once final tax rates are out for area cities)
5. Housing type impact on economic development

22
