Jankowski, City Engineer Baekground~ On April 28~ 1L092 !the City Council passed a resolution receiving the feasibility study and setting a public hearing forllmprovement Project #92-15. The public hearing will be held at 7:30 p.m.on May 12, 1992J~ This project ,.ffeCis only one property owner; therefore, the typical 60-day waiting period for ordering pla~s and}specifications can be waived. Also, the developer requested that the project be expedited and ~osted an escrow in the amount of $20,000, which is more than sufficient to cover the cost of the w0r~k performed through preparation of plans and specifications and bidding. The final devel°Pn :hi ~tgreement is still being negotiated. It is anticipated that depositing of the sureties by the dev¢I9 ~er W~itl occur prior to award of the project on June 9, 1992. The City's consultant on this project, Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc., has prepared plans and specifications which will be avatlalJle at[the Counctl meenng. Your action t~ eor~tinue with the project should include the adoption of the enclosed resolution. The first resolilti0rl is for ordering plans and specifications and the other is for approving plans and specifications and ~etting a bid date. Council Action:!
