! ii I I I I I ,I I I I I I I I I I I CoLJncilmerrlb~r introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #92-05- RESOLUTION[AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF RAMSEY'S ACCEPTANCE OF THEr' -FiNANCiAL ADMINISTRATION OF THE SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAMS SP()NSOR ~F_,D BY THE RAMSEY LIONS CLUB WHeREAs, at the Budget Committee meeting of April 28, i992, Mrl Jerry Hamlet, representing ~he Ramsey Lions Club, was present and made a request that the Ramsey City Council accept the financial administration duties for senior citizen programs sponsored by the Ramsey Lion~; and WHI~E~S, Mr. Hamlet advised that the Lions national organization provides liability coverage for fall ;programs sponsored by the Lions, and for those programs that may present a specific liability, &uch as the hiring of buses for a holiday lights tour, the transportation providers must also pre&ent Proof of insurance; and wIIEREAs, Mr. Hamlet stated the Lions are specifically requesting that the City accept contributionsiand administer the disbursements for these programs and that the Lions will continue to plan for, pt':omd¢ ~nsurance, staff and coordinate these acnvmes; and WHEREAS, the Budget Committee unanimously approved a motion to recommend to the City Council ~he;City accept the receipting and disbursement function and further dire?ed Staff to establish aSpecific General Fund cost center and revenue account within the City s Chart of Accounts forl~thepurpose of providing separate reporting on these activities. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY; ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That ihe Ramsey City Council hereby accepts the financial administration for the senior cifize~ pr.~grams sponsored by the Ramsey Lions Club. Such administratio,n is to consist of recei~tingcontributions and making disbursements consistent with the City s receipting and disbutserrtent policies.
