<br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Consider Participation in Anoka County United Economic Development <br />Group <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that this is a group of are Chambers of Commerce and <br />municipalities that are working to foster economic development. He stated that this. entity would <br />like to apply for grants and is looking for support from the City. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig asked ifthere was any financial obligation required from the City. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that there is no [mancial obligation. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Olson, to Support the Promotion <br />of Economic Development in the County with support of the Anoka County United Economic <br />Development Group. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Olson, Dehen, Jeffrey, <br />Look, Olson, and Strommen. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />1) December Council Meeting Schedule <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson stated that the second meeting of the City Council would <br />fall on Christmas Day. She stated that staff is looking for direction on whether the City would <br />like to reschedule that meeting or if the City Council feels that this meeting can just be canceled. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that he would support having work sessions and one regular City Council <br />meeting for the month of December. <br /> <br />City Administrator Ulrich stated that there may be a need for a Special City Council meeting to <br />deal with the Diamonds Sports Bar resident petition. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Strommen, to cancel the December 25, 2007 <br />City Council meeting, understanding that there may be a need for a Special City Council meeting <br />on another date to deal with the Diamonds Sports Bar resident petition. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Jeffrey, Strommen, Dehen, Elvig, <br />Look, and Olson.
