Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Elvig, Jeffrey, Dehen, Look, and <br />Strommen. Voting No: None. Absent: Councilmember Olson. <br /> <br />MAYOR, COUNCIL AND STAFF INPUT <br /> <br />Christmas Party <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec reminded everyone that the Christmas Party will be held Friday, January 11,2008 <br />at Wells Catering at 5:00 p.m. <br /> <br />Legislative Reception <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec noted that the legislative reception will be held Thursday, January 10, 2008 from <br />5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Majestic Oaks. <br /> <br />Joint Planning Commission Meeting <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that the joint meeting with the Planning Commission is scheduled for <br />Tuesday, January 29, 2008. <br /> <br />Habitat for Humanity <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated that there is a Habitat for Humanity dedication on Saturday, January 12, <br />2008 at 7252 149th Street. <br /> <br />Councilmember Jeffrey stated that, as the Chair of the HRA, he has been asked to sign a letter <br />supporting the continued growth of Habitat for Humanity projects in the City. He stated that he <br />did not want to sign this unless the Council agreed that this is a good goal. <br /> <br />Assistant Community Development Director Frolik stated that Habitat for Humanity requires a <br />letter from the City as part of their application to the County for funding and this is due January <br />15,2008. She stated that the City sent the same letter last year. <br /> <br />There was a Consensus of the Council to send a letter in support of Habitat for Humanity <br />building more units in the City. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Jeffrey, seconded by Councilmember Look, to adjourn the meeting. <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />The regular meeting of the City Council adjourned at 9:50 p.m. <br /> <br />City Council / January 8, 2008 <br />Page 22 of 23 <br />
