Absent: Members Kiefer and LeTourneau <br /> <br />Discussion ensued on submitting EDA minutes to City Council. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan mentioned the request to send EDA minutes to the <br />City Council from the last meeting. He questioned members whether the intention is to have the <br />minutes to reference Diamond Graphics as part of the case. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Consensus reached by members to submit draft EDA minutes to City Council when pertinent to <br />cases. <br /> <br />EDA BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Status of Ralf Property Acquisition <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan distributed copies of the Highway 10 Corridor <br />map that Ramsey officially mapped in 2004. He explained that the official map designation <br />allowed the City to apply for monies from the Right of Way Acquisition Loan Fund (RALF) to <br />acquire properties in the mapped area. He stated it is the City's policy to acquire properties from <br />interested sellers and lease back certain properties that are viable businesses. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan reported the most recent acquisition is parcel 46, <br />which was a vacant rental property. He mentioned the City is currently working on acquiring <br />parcel 7. <br /> <br />Member Elvig requested that the Boike property across Highway lObe included. He stated he <br />would like to use RALF funding to preserve what is the extension off Armstrong and the future <br />river crossing. <br /> <br />Discussion ensued. <br /> <br />Economic Development Coordinator Sullivan recommended changing the name of map to RALF <br />Property Acquisition fi, r the HWY 10 Corridor. He explained the concept of the Ralf Property <br />Acquisition program. e commented that an interested property designation did not necessarily <br />mean an agreed upon rice has been reached.
