<br />Councilmember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-01-XXX <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING ANOKA ICE ARENA ASSOCIATION APPLICATION <br />FOR A PREMISE PERMIT FOR LAWFUL GAMBLING AT JACOBS TAVERN IN <br />RAMSEY <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka Ice Arena Association has applied for a premise permit for <br />gambling at Jacobs Tavern, 14077 S1. Francis Boulevard, Ramsey; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Anoka Ice Arena Association has requested Council waive the 3D-day <br />notice provision; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Gambling Control Board Division of the Department of Gaming <br />requires the City of Ramsey adopt a resolution specifically approving or denying the application. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the Ramsey City Council hereby approves the premise permit application for Anoka <br />Ice Arena Association to operate lawful gambling at Jacobs Tavern, 14077 S1. Francis <br />Boulevard, Ramsey <br /> <br />2) That the Ramsey City Council agrees to waive the 3D-day notice provision. <br /> <br />3) That the Ramsey City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator or Finance <br />Officer to sign the application and any other documents required by the Minnesota <br />Gambling Control Board. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 8th day of January, 2008. <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />-86- <br />
