. Secure a stop on the Northstar Commuter Rail line . Consider requiring sidewalks or trails on both sides of new public streets* Policies . Take a proactive approach to Identifying funding sources for transportation projects* . Continue RALF program along Highway 10 . Examine the ability of transportation network to handle pedestrians, bicyclists, and automobiles through design of streets (complete streets polley) . Pursue additional east/west collector in the northern portion of the city . Continue to assess the need for and provide local traffic control and access improvements to improve the transportation system* . Ensure future roadway improvement include sufficient right of way for future pedestrian and bicycle paths . Continue efforts to establish Mississippi River regional trail . Continue involvement in the Northstar Corridor Development Authority (NCDA) . Market the Municipal Parking Facility as a Park and Ride opportunity . Coordinate a multi-department effort to complete the Master Trail Plan . Complete RTC AUAR roadway improvement projects . Successfully complete turn-back of CR 63 between Nowthen Blvd & Armstrong Blvd . Officially map the remainder of the Mississippi River bridge crossing corridor (is county interested in pushing the issue further?) · Explore options for constructing a pedestrian bridge over Highway 10 and the Mississippi River . Explore options for revising the City's sidewalk policy, including different standards for public versus private roads, high-volume versus low-volume roads, and issues related to long-term maintenance as the City grows. URBAN SERVICES Goals . Protect, preserve, and enhance the supply of clean water for drinking and recreation for the current and future generations of Ramsey citizens and businesses* . Provide urban services to interested property owners in an efficient and cost effective manner . Use best practices for managing stormwater on-site to reduce infrastructure costs and protect local groundwater supplies*
