Industry standards recommend replacing meters every 10 -15 years. Meters read slower as they <br />age, showing less consumption than is actually used. <br />This project proposes replacing 250 meters per year for 15 years. The replacements will be rapid read. All new meters will also be this style. New <br />meters will be paid for by the new customer. <br />Radio read will position the City for doing meter reading in house. All of our accounts could be read quickly with this technology.
