However, bow and. arrow hunting. shall NOT be permitted within 500 feet of any residential dwelling or other structure, park or playground and said hunting s11a11 NOT be periliitted within 500 feet of any trunk highway. 5.07.10 1'erznits for Bow and Arrow Hunting. A permit for bow and arrow h>.mting shall be required prior to such hunting in the City. Applicants for a bow and arrow huntiiag permit shall apply to the Ramsey City Police Chief or his/her designated repz•esentative. Historical Note Established by Ord. 73-1.0, August 20, 1973. Ord. 73-14 amended 55.07.06 adding "property" to the list of items which persons may legally defend, and not be subject to the provisions of the ordinance. Amended. 55.07.07, changing "500 yards" to "500 feet" .and providing the following exception to the prohibition against shot gUnS LlSlilg smaller than 4 shot; "unless a permit is granted by the Town Clerk to the owner or tenant of 40 act•es or more, which permit shall permit said owner or tenant to shoot smaller than size 4 shot during the Minnesota deer season only on their 40 acres or larger tract and then only in compliance with all other provisions of this ordinance." Ord. #83-15 established Sections 5.07.09 and 5.07.10. Ord. #OS-26 amended 55.07.07 by not allowing shotguns to use larger than size six (6) shot and non-lead shall be the only type of firearm permitted in any part of the City. 55.07.09 was also amended by this. ordinance. Bow and arrow hunting shall .NOT be permitted within 500 feet (used to say 300 yards) of any residential dwelling or other structure, park or playground and said hunting shall NOT be permitted within 500 feet (used to say 150 yards) of any trunk highway.
