RESOLUTION #08-01-XXX <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING $35,000 FROM THE PARK IMPROVEMENT TRUST <br />FUND TO CONSTRUCT A RESTROOM FACILITY FOR EMERALD POND PARK <br />WHEREAS, Emerald Pond Park is the `crown. jewel' of Ramsey's neighborhood park <br />system and serves thousands of patrons annually; and <br />WHEREAS,. the installation of a restroom facility will .improve the aesthetics .and <br />provideimproved sanitary services for park users; and <br />WHEREAS, this permanent. facility will save several hundred dollars in portable unit <br />rental each year; and <br />WHEREAS, the Park and Recreation Commission has recommended a $35,000 <br />allocation from the Park Improvement Trust Fund to provide for the structure; and <br />WHEREAS, the contractors and vendors for this project are Ramsey businesses. <br />..NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />` RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) That, the City Council authorizes staff to proceed with the construction of the restroom <br />facility for Emerald Pond Park at anot-to-exceed cost of $35,000: from the Park <br />Improvement Trust Fund. <br />The. motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council <br />this the 22nd day of January 2008. <br />Mayor <br />ATTEST: <br />City Clerk <br />RESOLUTION #08-01-XXX <br />Page 1 of 1 <br />-237- <br />
