o Develop the site plan to address footprints and identify septic treatment options <br />until sanitary sewer is available. <br />o Identify building styles, costs, and determine if there are plans available to <br />eliminate `starting from scratch'. <br />o Identify any thematic elements of the improvements. <br />o Disseminate RFPs for the playground. <br />o Bring back to City Council finite plans and costs for approval for both the <br />park playground and building. <br />Attached for your information is a project location map for Elmcrest Park, and the <br />corresponding CIP worksheets. <br />Funding Source: <br />The cost of this building element of the project is shown as a $250,000 investment from <br />the Park Trust Fund, with an estimated match of $250,000 from an undetermined source. <br />The play equipment and associated improvements is also projected as a Park Trust Fund <br />expenditure of $70,000. <br />At this time, staff is recommending that $15,000 (3% of the estimated building cost) in <br />Park Trust Fund monies be released for miscellaneous professional services such as <br />architectural design for the building, or other project elements as needed. <br />City Council Action: <br />Motion to approve anot-to-exceed amount of $15,000 in Park Trust Funds to initiate the <br />Elmcrest Park playground and park building project. <br />Reviewed by: <br />City Administrator <br />Public Works Director <br />Finance Director. <br />CC: 01/22/08 <br />-242- <br />
