<br />CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br /> <br />Topic Report: Disaster Tabletop Exercise <br />By: Dean Kapler, Fire Chief <br /> <br /> <br />Background: <br /> <br />In February 2007, staff and council discussed the roles and responsibilities all positions <br />assume during an emergency, small to large. The work session topic for January 22,2008 <br />will include a scenario of a disaster in Ramsey. (Details will be communicated at the <br />work session.) <br /> <br />With Council and staff in their respective roles, short and long-term goals will be <br />established and structured using the Incident Command System. The event will include <br />breakout sessions in smaller groups and presentations to the entire group. Staff will <br />include Department Heads and other essential staff. Police, Fire and Public Works will <br />include some additional operations staff. <br /> <br />Action Statement: <br /> <br />The goal of the work session is to create and operate in a productive structure to focus on <br />the needs of this community during a disaster. <br /> <br />Reviewed by: <br /> <br /> <br />Fire Chief <br />City Administr <br /> <br />CCWS: <br />
