The funding source is the Park Trust Fund,
and was approved by City Council in March of this year.

A slideshow was presented to the Commission.

Parks Supervisor Riverblood noted eight well know consultants were invited to respond to the
RFP and five responded. He reviewed the major task categories within the RFP that the
consultants were asked to respond to along with the evaluations that were made regarding the
consultants.

Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated Brauer & Associates were picked at an estimated cost not to
exceed $22,000 plus expenses at approximately $700 and ecological, survey and other
professional services estimated at $4,000.

Commissioner Shryock stated she had an opportunity to review these plans and felt comfortable
Brauer & Associates would do the job.

Motion by Commissioner Shryock, seconded by Commissioner Barr, to recommend the City
Council approve the firm of Brauer & Associates for park concept planning for the Sunfish Lake
area at a cost not to exceed $30,000 from the Park Trust Fund.

Commissioner Erickson wondered what the time frame would be for and how long they would
have their services for.

Parks Supervisor Riverblood indicated they will be billing at an hourly rate and he thought the
consultants would last a couple months of activity including meetings with the Commission, staff
and the City Council. He stated they want to have this done and as part of the Compo Plan
Process.

Motion carried.
