14400 Bowers Drive N.W.
Ramsey, MN 55303
March 19, 1992

Ramsey ABoard of Adjustment
15153 Nowt~en Boulevard N.W.
Ramsey,i ~4NF55303

This left'er is in response to the ~otice we received regarding the
reques~yi. Dennis Harper to-build an additional garage as described
in the iNotice.

Notice lis hereby given that the authors of this letter, Robert and
Mary U~le~, strongly object to the building of the additional
garage ~dlparticularly object to the proposed placement of such a
struct ~.u~e.~ It would seem to us that if an additional two-car
garage ~s approved to be built on that lot, it would be logical to
place '_~t' o~ the other side of the property, adjacent to Lot #1, 3rd
additi~. A quick look at the size of the adjacent lots would make
it obvi~Us~to even a casual observer that such a proposed structure
would ~te~fere far less aesthetically and every other way if it
were p~ace~next to Lot #1, 3rd Addition, rather than as is being
propos~d o~ the drawing.

We have a~ready had our river view obstructed by a previous
addition, a three season porch, added to the back of the house at
14390 ~We~s. We were never consulted about that addition, which
is a dak~ly irritant to us, and we question if its erection was in
complia?~e with existing city building regulation codes. We would
strongly resent another large structure being built as proposed to
furthe~idi~turb our country setting and view, this time in the
front ~ard~

Furthe~ore, there is already an additional storage shed built in
front o~the 14390 house, adjacent to our property. That structure
is not~i shown on the drawing. For your information, we are
attaching a revised drawing, showing the actual structures as they
currently exist on the 14390 Bowers Drive property.

It would, seem to us that an existing two-car garage and an existing
detach~d~ s~orage shed are more than sufficient for a small single
family i ~e~idence as currently exists at 14390 Bowers Drive,
particularly since the occupant is a single adult with no
depende~s~ Could we be opening the door to commercial storage
with t~e a~proval for the addition of a second two-car garage, in
effect ~doubling the existing garage space?

In clo~ing; it is our opinion that the addition of the proposed
structure, if approved, would greatly devalue our property and we
would e~pect to be compensated for our financial loss and emotional
stress.
Yours Very Truly

en
