Mid 2007 <br />witnessed 2 Paid -on -Call firefighters being utilized as Fire Inspectors. Other 2007 <br />numbers include: 180 permits issued generating $9,520 in revenue and 332 <br />inspections on existing buildings. <br />Public Education activity continued strong with frequent cable TV programming, 2 <br />day Safety Camp and Fire Prevention week which finished with a well attended fire <br />department open house. <br />M isc <br />RFD was fortunate again in 2007 to be awarded a FEMA grant for turnout gear, wild <br />land gear, new pagers for entire dept and training funding for mandated training of all <br />new FF's. <br />A new engine was ordered in 2007 to replace the first apparatus received by RFD. <br />Delivery date is expected in March of 2008. <br />2007 was the first year of response to Burns Township covering the entire township. <br />Also a joint powers agreement was initiated to place a 3rd fire station in Burns to <br />—7- <br />
