CASE # <br />• <br />CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS TWO ITEMS: <br />POSSIBLE PURCHASE OF BURY AND CARLSON PROPERTY FOR FUTURE <br />PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY <br />AND <br />RAMSEY TOWN CENTER — PENDING LITIGATION BETWEEN THE CITY OF <br />RAMEY AND MINNWEST BANK' <br />Background: <br />Burn and Carlson Property <br />City Council will be asked to recess their regular meeting to a closed session to discuss the possible <br />purchase of the Bury and Carlson parcel of land lying east of Jaspar Street and south of 143`d <br />Avenue NW. The parcel is located at 14251 Jaspar Street and is approximately 21.14 acres in size. <br />The property is occupied by an aggregate business. <br />Ramsey Town Center <br />Council will also be asked to discuss, in closed session, a partial settlement proposal from <br />MinnWest Bank in regard to pending litigation between the City of Ramsey and MinnWest Bank <br />relating to the Development Agreement for Ramsey Town Center. <br />• Council will be asked reconvene its regular open meeting to confirm action taken in closed session. <br />Council Action: <br />Based upon discussion. <br />Reviewed by: <br />Director of Public Works <br />Economic Development Coordinator <br />City Attorney ED <br />City Administrator <br />• CC: 02/12/08 <br />—297— <br />
