• <br />• <br />l� <br />u <br />Ramsey Fire Department <br />Year End Report for 2007 <br />Emergency Response <br />2007 response looked to set record response rates until November and December which <br />were very slow. In the end Ramsey Fire Department (RFD) responded to a total of 489 <br />incidents. This compares to 496 in 2006. A few details on responding: <br />Personal Injury accident response was again the largest portion with 110 <br />responses or 22% of the total. Of these 8 involved extrications to remove victims <br />from vehicles, 9 involved heart related (code blue) responses with the police dept <br />and 1 water rescue response to a stranded pontoon boat on the Mississippi. <br />• Alarms response continued at a high rate with 104 responses or 216/6 of the total. <br />• Reports of illegal burning is the 3rd largest response with a total of 72 or 15% of <br />the total. <br />• A total of 10 structure fires happened along with 22 fires involving contents within <br />structures. <br />Mutual Aid requests to other communities numbered 21 including a 5 day <br />response to the Boundary Waters in the spring. <br />2007 saw the 3rd year RFD utilized a Duty Officer Response. This response sends 1-2 <br />fire officers to less drastic incidents rather than a full department response. Types of <br />calls were some alarm calls, illegal burning, resident questions, Carbon Monoxide <br />Alarms, etc. The total number of Duty Officer Responses in 2007 were 174. <br />Burns Township response totaled 43.
