We have the potential to add 2 to 4 excellent paying <br />(over $14.00/hr) jobs to the company, re-face our old building, move our dock to the south side of our property and add <br />an additional 5000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space to our current property. <br /> <br />A brief history of Production Design Products, Inc.: <br /> <br />The Company was founded in the early 80's around 1983 by Robert Brown a Ramsey resident and has been functioning <br />profitably since then. The company is a recognized leader in the Industrial Laundry industry and most of its products are <br />used in the Dust Control segment of this industry. The company also takes contracts from differentmanufacturers and <br />supports them when they are in need of Fabricated Metal parts and also provides design and unique solutions to resolve <br />most of their material handling needs. <br /> <br />The Company is now owned by Kufre & Ekpedeme Akpan, who purchased all assets of the company in 2007. The <br />current ownership has over 26 years of manufacturing industry experience all of it from working at top manufacturers in <br />the Twin Cities Area and finishing as the Operations Manager for a $30 million Medical Devices manufacturing plant. <br /> <br />The company currently has six (6) full time and two (2) part time production employees and two (2) full time office <br />employees. With this expansion, we hope to add two (2) full time production employees and two (2) full time office <br />employees within the next two years. <br /> <br />To execute our expansion project, we will need to purchase a piece of open property adjacent to, and south of, us now. <br />We do have some money to put into this project; however, we know that we cannot pay full price for the land based on <br />its current value and need assistance to move forward.
