I have sent to all new members of
the EDC a copy 9f the Highway gl0 Corridor Study. As we discussed the goals for 1992 at the
December 4,: 1991 meeting, some of the goals proposed by and for the EDC are directly or
indirectly related to the Highway #10 Corridor Study. The suggested goals affected by the
Highway #1~0 Corridor Study were to conduct a review of the Highway gl0 Corridor, initiate
ordinance and policy changes in order to make the corridor more viable and aesthetically pleasing,
provide for ~liscussion of redevelopment of Highway #10 Corridor and provide for the formation
of a coalitioh targeting activities requisite to a Mississippi River Bridge Crossing south of Highway
gl 0 and easf of Tfott Brook.

Commissionor Fults stated that the whole purpose for the Highway gl0 Corridor Study was to
give ideas and help market the area, not just give the background, the value and the history of it.
Some of the main problems with the Highway gl0 Corridor Study is that it does not offer
suggestions for marketing, service road development or for long-term improvement of the
corridor.

Economic Development Commission / January 8, 1992
Page 2 of 5
