Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Vevea, Nelson, Fults, Gorecki, <br />Kent, Thors{~n and Greenberg. Voting No: None. Absent: None. <br /> <br />Case g2:7 View Champlin's Economic Development Video <br /> <br />The EDC v',~Wed;the City of Champlin's economic development video that was produced in 1991. <br />The Commil~on touched on some of the highlights and how they could be used effectively for the <br />City of Ra~. 8ey,~!including the fact that the City needs to develop an industrial area ready for <br />immediate ~cul~ancy. This video was then referred back to the subcommittee consisting of <br />Commissio'.fi~rs ~lorecki, Fults and Thorson. They will be meeting during the next month to <br />formulate a~s~rigt or an overview of the proposed video and will move from there to develop an <br />actual video~ vi, ithQu .ad Cities Cable TV. ' <br /> <br />Case #3: Htghway #10 Corridor Study <br /> <br />As was diso%setl at previous meetings, the first part of the Highway #10 Corridor Study that the <br />EDC woul~.~like~ to review is the economic development potential of the City's Highway #10 <br />Corridor. ~ere We a number of goals for the study that have been completed such as development <br />of promoti~tial i~rograms which would include the Ramsey video, the annual Business EXPO, <br />Bus~ness ADl~reO~auon Day, establish graphic sign imaging and monument signs which should be <br />completed $~r ig_ 1992 and the creation of an Economic Development Authority. The EDC created <br />a subcornn~it~e ~ work on a preliminary industrial development plan which includes Chairperson <br />Wagnex an~l ~_o~issioners Kent and Greenberg. They will be meeting sometime during the next <br />month to bggin ~eveloping an outline or broad overview of how this area should be developed. <br />This plan ~ be-similar to the one Champlin used to develop its Highway #169 Corridor Study. <br /> <br />AI JOU t eSX <br />Motion by Co -rr~ issioner Gorecki and seconded by Commissioner Nelson to adjourn the meeting <br />of the Ecoffo~nic~Development Commission. <br /> <br />Motion c~.: Voting Yes: Chairman Wagner, Commissioners Vevea, Nelson, Fults, Gorecki, <br />Kent, Thor~0n and Greenberg.
