CASE # — <br />INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE DECLARING LAND AS SURPLUS PROPERTY <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF 6590141S AVENUE NW <br />By: Sean M. Sullivan, Economic Development Coordinator <br />Background: <br />The City has acquired and prepared this site for redevelopment within the boundaries of Tax <br />Increment Financing District No. 2. Staff has been in negotiations with Production Design . <br />Products (PDP) to construct a 5000 S.F. expansion, relocate its existing dock off of Bunker Lake <br />Boulevard and reface its building in 2008. The Ramsey EDA has reviewed the proposed terms of <br />this project and has recommended approval to the City Council Introduction of this ordinance <br />starts the process that would allow the City convey the property generally known as 6590 141S <br />Avenue NW to a buyer. City Code requires that the City Council to declare land owned by the City <br />as surplus property prior to selling it. Introducing and adopting this sales ordinance does not give <br />PDP an exclusive right to purchase this property.
