Case # <br />SELECT THE PARTICIPANTS FOR THE RAMSEY WORKING GROUP: <br />CASE OF CITY OF RAMSEY AND RAMSEY STEERING COMMITTEE <br />By:_Breanne Dalnes, Associate Planner <br />Background /Observations: <br />At the worksession earlier tonight, the City Council considered forming a working group, <br />at the request of the Ramsey steering committee. This working group would consist of <br />24 members, and their task would be to: 1) refine the OST -based vision statement; 2) <br />create a checklist of core objectives; and 3) explore alternative zoning practices that meet <br />the objectives and examine the strengths and weaknesses of each practice. <br />Staff is requesting that Councilmembers complete their ballots prior to Tuesday night's <br />worksession; staff will then compile the results and report back at the regular Council <br />meeting. <br />Funding Source: <br />All funding associated with the Ramsey initiative has been funded from the McKnight <br />Foundation grant received in 2005. The working group will be asked to volunteer their <br />time towards this effort. <br />Recommendation: <br />Staff recommends appointing the proposed working group, as discussed. <br />Council Action: <br />Motion to appoint the Ramsey working group, as discussed. <br />Reviewed By: <br />City Administrator Z4�a� <br />Interim Comm.
