<br />State Building Code approved structure. A sign is considered temporary if it is not <br />intended to remain on the property permanently and has not received a permanent sign <br />permit and/or is not intended to be constructed per the State Building Code. <br /> <br />a. Duration: Temporary signs shall be permitted for up to six weeks <br />per year per parcel, or per business on multi-tenant business parcels. The six-week limit <br />may be extended up to four weeks if there have been no sign violations in the past year <br />by the entity who erects the sign. <br /> <br />b. Location: Temporary signs must be located fully on private <br />property, with the permission of the property owner. The city will remove any signs in <br />the public right-of-way, or erected without permission from the property owner. <br /> <br />c. Number: All properties are limited to two temporary signs per <br />parcel. In locations where there are multiple businesses on one parcel (a multi-tenant <br />facility), three signs are permitted. <br /> <br />d. Size: Temporary signs shall be limited to 50 square feet in size. <br /> <br />d. Fee: All temporary signs are exempt from permitting and fees. The <br />provisions of the ordinance apply to all temporary signs, and appropriate penalties for <br />violations will be assessed, as outlined in Section 9.12.21. <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Balloons, Gas Filled Figures, Streamers, <br />Whirling Devices and Revolving Searchlights or any such attention-getting device that <br />is not specifically a sign may be permitted up to four weeks per year, for one week at a <br />time.). <br /> <br />9.12.06 District Regulations. In addition to those signs permitted or required in <br />all districts as described in ~9.12.03 (General Provisions) and ~9.12.05 (Temporary <br />Signs), the following signs are permitted in each specific district and shall be regulated as <br />to size, location and character according to the requirements herein set forth. <br /> <br />9.12.07 <br /> <br />Residential Type Districts <br /> <br />Subdivision 1. Area Identification Signs. One (1) sign per <br />vehicular access to a development, not to exceed thirty-two (32) square feet in area is <br />permitted. <br /> <br />Subd.2. Temporary Signs. Temporary SIgns are permitted In <br />accordance with Section 9.12.05. <br /> <br />Subd. 3. Home Occupation Signs.
