City AdmififiStraDr Schroeder stated it would have to be done by the City Council but he feels that there is rea~[ y no advantage to adopting it at this time. Chief Griffin w~ directed to work on a five-year plan that would include the inspector position, adopting tl~ LIFC, emergency rescue, water and safety rescue, etc. and include cost estimates. Chief Griffin was also instructed to put budget figures together to show what cost impact the inspection ~sition would cause. BOARD INPUT 1) MObile Data Terminals Fire Chief ~fftn stated the Fire Department will be able to hook up to Mobile Data Terminals through Ait0ka'County. The County will supply the hook-up and the Department will be responsibl~ for ghe monthly cost of $49.00 which would be the phone bill. This will be a 1993 budget reqg6st. 2) HaZmat Incident Fire Chief ~13ii.'ffin stated that recently chemicals had spilled off a truck in Ramsey and the incident was handlelt Very well by the Fire Department. Boardmember Kapler commented that the Patrol Officer on the scene handled the situation very well also. ADJOURNMENT Consensus'Was to adjourn the meeting.
