He has received letters from the Finance Officer regarding
water charges back in 2002 and 2003. When they received the invoices back then they compared
it with an almost identical building he owns across the river. At that time the sewer and water
bills at the Ramsey building were a little higher, but comparable. Mr. Sharp stated it was
indicated by the Finance Officer that a zero was dropped on the meter. This means that
theoretically it should have been ten times what they were billed, which would be a phenomenal
amount. They made copies and sent a letter explaining the situation and that it was impossible
for the bill to be ten times as high as it was. The issue was dropped at that time and they never
heard another thing about it, so they assumed the mistake was found and it was taken care of.
Mr. Sharp stated he just received a letter from the Finance Officer informing him that the City is

City Council / February 12, 2008
