<br />Case #11: <br /> <br />Adopt Ordinance Changing Street Name in Brookfield 2nd Addition; Case of <br />the City of Ramsey <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Elvig, seconded by Councilmember Look, to adopt Ordinance #08- <br />04 to change the street name of 167th Chase to 167th Court within the plat of Brookfield 2nd <br />Addition. <br /> <br />A roll call vote was performed by the Recording Secretary: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec: <br />Councilmember Dehen: <br />Councilmember Elvig: <br />Councilmember Jeffrey: <br />Councilmember Look: <br />Councilmember Olson: <br />Councilmember Strommen: <br /> <br />aye <br />aye <br />aye <br />absent <br />aye <br />absent <br />aye <br /> <br />Motion carried. <br /> <br />Case #12: <br /> <br />Approve Restroom Facility for Emerald Pond Park <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood stated a new restroom facility for Emerald Pond Park has been part <br />of the Parks Capital Improvement Program for many years. The idea is to replace the rented <br />plastic 'biffys' and improve the quality and service to the residents. He stated the cost for the <br />project has been reduced from the $76,000 estimate in the 2007 CIP to less than $35,000. In <br />addition, each of the contractors hired to construct the shelter would be Ramsey businesses. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig inquired about the service program with permanent buildings like this. <br /> <br />Parks Supervisor Riverblood indicated there will be a formal cleaning twice per week. The <br />building will have an electric hand dryer system so there will not be paper towels. There will be <br />a utility room off the back side with a hose so it can be sprayed out and squeegeed frequently. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig clarified with Parks Supervisor Riverblood that the facility will be <br />checked once per day and serviced twice per week at a minimum. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Strommen, seconded by Councilmember Elvig, to approve <br />Resolution #08-01-027 authorizing staff to proceed with the construction ofa concrete restroom <br />facility for Emerald Pond Park. <br /> <br />Councilmember Elvig clarified that his project will be built with Park Trust Funds. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Gamec, Councilmembers Strommen, Elvig, Dehen, and <br />Look. Voting No: None.
