Action: <br />INFORMATIONAL PRESENTATION REGARDING <br />THE CITY'S WELLHEAD PROTECTION PLAN <br />By Steven Jankowski, City Engineer <br />Background: <br />The City of Ramsey is required to prepare a wellhead protection plan for the purpose of <br />safeguarding areas which recharge aquifers from which the City draws its municipal <br />water supply. The City has recently completed the first phase of the plan process by <br />identifying the areas from which each of our wells draws. Mr. Michael Howe of the <br />Department of Health will be present at the meeting to provide an overview of this <br />process and the progress to date. Attached are copies of the slides that Mr. Howe will use <br />in his presentation. <br />The next step in the process will be the implementation phase which will be initiated with <br />. a scoping meeting later in March.
