-12— <br />Ramsey Police Department Monthly Report <br />January 2008 <br />Crime Prevention <br />1. Youth Tobacco Compliance Checker Training - Conducted standardized training <br />session for three Anoka County youth to participate as volunteer tobacco buyers during <br />tobacco compliance checks. Training covered tobacco laws, how compliance checks are <br />conducted, and working with law enforcement agencies. We train the kids, maintain an <br />active database and then provide that database and basic compliance check procedural <br />information to all law enforcement agencies in Anoka County. <br />2 MN Juvenile Officers Association Annual Conference Attended the annual <br />conference in Duluth. Program outline attached. <br />3. Northwest Anoka County Community Consortium (NWACCC) Board Meeting <br />Review monthly activities, staffing considerations and financial reports for Youth First <br />Community of Promise. Also discussed program updates, Mayors' Prayer Breakfast <br />update, 501.c3 Update and the grant calendar. <br />4. Meeting with Lord of Life HarvestFest Security Committee — Discussion regarding <br />their annual HarvestFest (September) security issues including contracting Ramsey <br />Police Department officers. <br />5. Mayors' Prayer Breakfast Planning Meeting & Setup — Finalization of details for <br />breakfast including timed agenda, who will be presenting, power point presentation, and <br />role of Board Members.
