Councihnember introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #08- 03 -XXX <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING <br />ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #08 -24 RAMSEY TOWN <br />CENTER SIDEWALK AND LIGHTING IMPROVEMENT <br />WHEREAS, City Staff has prepared plans and specifications for Improvement Project 06 -24 <br />which consist of sidewalk, landscaping and lighting construction on Sunwood Drive from Ramsey <br />Boulevard to Armstrong Blvd.; and on Rhinestone Street from Civic Center Drive to Bunker Lake <br />Boulevard and has presented such plans and specifications to the council for approval, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey was successful in obtaining a Livable Community <br />Demonstration Grant from the Metropolitan Council for an amount of $363,756, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey met with the Metropolitan Council to discuss using these <br />funds for this project and received preliminary approval, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey was successful in securing the Letter of Credit in the amount <br />$3,160,000, that provided the funding for, among other things, the improvements betwwen the back <br />of curb and the right of way line. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br />1) Such plans and specifications, a copy of which are available upon request and made a part <br />hereof, are hereby approved. <br />2) The funding sources mentioned above shall be used to complete this project. <br />3) The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper an <br />advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such plans and <br />specifications. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />and the following abstained: <br />and the following were absent: <br />whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the <br />11 day of March, 2008. <br />RESOLUTION #08- 03 -XXX <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />C-4 <br />
