\15e -KotS- • First Class Auctions & Events, Inc. 5368 German Lake Road Isanti, MN 55040 January 25, 2008 Dear Mayor Gamec, Matt Look, Sarah Strommen, David Elvig, Mary Jo Olson, John Dehen, David Jeffrey: First Class Auctions & Events, Inc. is requesting to strengthen the capacity of our organization by funding the development, implementation, start-up and expansion of the current seventeen acre site located at Diamonds Sports Bar. As landowners, and taxpayers of the City of Ramsey we have a vested interest, both financially as well as emotionally, in seeing that our City maintains its high standard of living. To that end, we seek to make improvements to our existing property — improvements which will strengthen the City's tax base, strengthen the City's commitment to family- oriented entertainment, and provide new entertainment venues for the community while bring in additional revenue to existing businesses. We currently own the seventeen acres of land located at Diamond's Sports Bar. What we would like to do is use that land to create a multi-use area where we can have the following venues: • • • • auctions per year of large -scale implements, a Farmer's Market during the summer months (of which the city has already shown interested Flea Markets *q Rodeo's A* ;- Car shows -0- Threshing shows Swap meets - (e ch as boats, cars, etc( 8' 6 in participating in) In addition to the above - mentioned events, we would also like to do s:4 family- oriented special events thronghout the year. These special events will be for the entire family. By allowing us to use the property as multi- purpose real estate, we will be able to bring new businesses into the area—thereby strengthening the City's tax base and improving the municipal revenue stream. The existing area already is fully lighted, fenced in, has ample parking, is well maintained and is a secured facility. –151-
