<br />Councilmember <br /> <br />introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #08-04-_ <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ISSUANCE OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />TO LOCATE A RELIGIOUS INSTITUTION IN THE R-l RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic Communities (permittee) has properly <br />applied for a Conditional Use Permit (permit) on the property generally located on the northwest <br />comer ofVariolite Street and 161st Avenue, and legally described as: <br /> <br />The Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter except the west 185.0 feet thereof <br />and except roads subject to easement of record, Anoka County, Minnesota <br /> <br />-Or upon recording- <br /> <br />Lot 1, Block 1, 81. Katharine Drexel's First Addition <br /> <br />(the "Subject Property"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission met on April 3, 2008 and conducted a public <br />hearing and recommended City Council ~1I'&~ the request. . <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1. That this Permit shall be perpetual in its duration so long as the conditions imposed <br />herein are complied with. <br /> <br />2. That the Permitted uses on the site shall be limited to a religious institution and its <br />associated activities. <br /> <br />3. That this Permit shall remain in effect for all of Lot 1, Block 1 and any portion of <br />Outlot A that now, ot in the future holds a religious institution as its principal use. <br />The ability to expand the site operation shall exempt the Permittee from requiring <br />Permit amendments for expansions of the church facility. The Permittee shall not be <br />exempted from meeting any other applicable City Code and Building Code <br />requirements. <br /> <br />4. That, with regard to the site plan, comprehensive plan amendment, and minor plat <br />applications, the B-1 Business standards shall be utilized in reviewing the application. <br /> <br />57 <br />
